Family home stays are popular with students because they allow them to learm more about authentic Guatemalan life and practice their Spanish at home with fluent speakers.  For $115. per week, you will be provided with a private room with your own key, a shared bathroom with hot water, and three meals per day, six days per week. Our host families are all local families of San Pedro, and during your stay you will be treated like  an additional member of the family. Your family might invite you to help prepare traditional guatemalan food, or take you to the market to buy fruits and vegetables. Most of our families have children, so there is often interaction with family members. Every family can prepare delicious vegetarian meals if you prefer.
